Topics that can be very divisive & are exceptionally poignant at the moment!
They could be considered quite different entities while at the same time entwined.
Meaning different things to each of us!
I am not here to debate the pro's and con's or enter into debate.
We each are on our own journey and what speaks to us at any one time is what we need and where we are at at that point in time.
I personally have studied, investigated and read about many aspects of this throughout my life.
As a teenager I spent many years learning about paganism, witchcraft, the Arthurian legends & Celtic Lore amongst many things, including the more obvious religions of Christianity, Judaism and many more.
Into my late teens and twenties I focussed more on Buddhism, studied Druidry, energy healing and the importance of interconnectedness.
Through my thirties and forties wile still studying, it has been more a time of assimilation & revisiting elements of the practices I have learned.
There are many elements of spirituality that are the same running through whichever path or combination of paths we choose. And it is these that I feel are are the most important factors to hold close and embody.
Interconnectedness: - Everything & everyone is connected, personally, physically, energetically & spiritually.
Peace: - When we are at peace so are those around us. The world needs more peace right now!
Love: - When we have love in our hearts & show love to those around us, this ripples out into the world.
It is said that 1 person alone cannot change the world, but if we each live in peace, with love in our hearts the ripples will extend to those around us and in turn those around them - and then anything is possible!!!
I stand with the monks who are currently walking for peace in the USA & the many others around the world who are following and supporting their message.
Today is going to be my peaceful day.
We can make a difference if we start with ourselves.
May there be peace in your heart
May there be peace in the world

Hello and welcome to March Nature is waking up, the signs of spring are emerging, March 20th is Ostara, the Spring Equinox a time to pause & reflect, of balance and renewal. Light and dark are in perfect balance. Spring Equinox - Ostara The equinoxes mark the mid point between the solstice’s and were traditionally a time for celebration. A turning point in the wheel of the year. The Spring equinox signals a time of increasing daylight and warmth and also marks the start of the astrological New Year. A time of balance where night and day are of equal length, the dormancy of winter is over. The focus is on renewal, regeneration and fertility. Think of the symbolism of Easter eggs as a symbol of fertility and new life. Energies are beginning to rise, the ground is warming up, seeds are germinating , trees are beginning to bud and new life is emerging. It is the season of fresh juicy green leaves, perfect for cleansing and clearing the internal stagnation and sluggishness of the winter season, kickstarting the lymphatic and digestive systems and nourishing our bodies ready for a time of growth. What's been happening? Here in the Northern Hemisphere February hosted the beautiful fire festival of Imbolc and also saw the Chinese New Year and pancake day!. Imbolc is the halfway point between the winter solstice (Yule) and the Spring equinox (Ostara), and means in "In the belly of the mother" and signifies the seeds of spring beginning to stir in the belly of Mother Earth. It is associated with fertility and is when we welcome the first waves of spring, it is also a time for new beginnings and a good time to set intentions. Now is the perfect time to take a walk outdoors and look for signs of spring, plan your garden or plant some seeds (both physically and mentally) or have a relaxing cleansing bath with some cleansing bath salts or beautiful oils. It is also a great time to start stretching and increasing your daily movement levels to brush away the winter stagnation and get your lymphatic system fired up to start clearing and cleansing. I am using this fresh boost of spring energy to replenish the stocks in my Webshop and to get creative making some things I've not tried before! I'm very much looking forwards to trying out making herbal incense cones, watch this space and I'll let you know how I get on... In the meantime enjoy this beautiful time x
